This platter is lovingly handcrafted from reclaimed Kauri and Rimu wood, and is finished with a combination of tung oil and beeswax polish, enhancing its natural beauty and giving it a soft, polished sheen.

The Nīkau palm is a remarkable plant that has been around for over 20 million years. During a time when New Zealand enjoyed a much warmer climate, the landscape was filled with a variety of tropical palms. However, when the ice ages arrived and temperatures dropped, most of these tropical species vanished. The resilient Nīkau, though, endured and adapted to New Zealand's cooler climate.
