Steph Nierstenhoefer is an award-winning artist and designer based in Auckland. Originally from Germany, she moved to Aotearoa in 2002 after studying sustainable design in Cologne. Her background in graphic design and photography informs her refined, detail-focused approach.
Each OOAK artwork begins with one of Steph’s original photographs, which she transforms through a mixed-media illustration process. By emphasising key details and stripping away distraction, she creates striking, contemporary pieces with a distinctive sense of clarity and character.
Founded in 2020, OOAK offers limited-edition giclée prints on premium Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm paper. Editions range from 1–100, with one fully customisable print reserved per artwork. Every piece is signed, numbered, embossed, and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
