Lauren Hunt Glass

Lauren Hunt is a skilled glass artist and educator with over 17 years of experience.

Inspired by her travels, Lauren’s work is shaped by shifting landscapes and cultures. Her current work emphasizes colour, fun and form, blending artistry and precision to craft balanced, thoughtfully designed pieces.

She discovered her passion while studying at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she earned her BFA. After graduating, she began her career at the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, performing live glassblowing as part of the Hot Glass Show and the Blow Glass at Sea program aboard Celebrity Cruise ships.

She has taught and created at leading U.S. institutions including the Corning Museum of Glass, Penland School of Craft, and The Lost Pines Art Center. Since relocating to New Zealand, she has shared her knowledge at Amokura Glass in Rotorua and Monmouth Glass Studio in Auckland.

Now based in Auckland, Lauren balances her time as a glass fabricator, instructor, studio assistant, and Secretary to NZSAG (nzsag.com). She continues to create her own work for galleries across New Zealand.
